When you first heard about that news, what are you thinking about the Gnosis? What is the firs image come in your mind when your heard about Gnosis? As far as I know, nobody knows the Gnosis identity. If the Gnosis’s identityalready revealed, correct me. When you heard about Gnosis, do you thinking about a group of young teenagers, in dark room, with only computer’s light, eating fast-food, with weird posters on the wall? For me, when I heard about them/he/she, I’m thinking about a group of middle age man, good looking, having their own family, wearing a good looking attire, you know, like the guys in the Primer, having their own concrete plan on what they are doing.
Do Gnosis hacked Gawker for fun? Just to mess up with the internet? Do they did they because they know how to do it? So, they just do it? Or maybe they did that for a reason.
Back to the topic. The hacking of Gawker Media, also effected other sites that is: Deadspin, Gawker, Gizmodo, io9, Jalopnik, Jezebel, Kotaku, Fleshbot, and Lifehacker. ZdNet said that they deserved it, because of their selection of password. Why thousands of peoples still thinking to use ‘123456’, ‘1234’ and even ‘password’ as their passwords. Maybe they think that ‘the safest password is the easiest password’. Its quite true I think. If I am going to hack someone’s site, I don’t think that I am gonna try ‘12345’. FBI is going to meet, or already met, with the CEO, Nick Denton about hacking. There was about more than 100,000 of the 1.3 million registered users’s passwords and email addresses had leaked.
And it effected the Twitter account site too, mainly because of the same password for every sites. It such a hacking season. 4Chan and Anonymous hacked MasterCard, Visa, Swedish prosecutors, a Swiss bank, and a lot more. Is this have something to do with Julian Assange?
Sometime I am thinking to have that kind of knowledge or ability that Gnosis, 4Chan and Anonymous have.
